'Tis the Season..

Sooooo it is definitely that time of the year again and this year I decided to put up my very own Christmas tree for my bedroom! I've always wanted one since I was little, but let's be honest, it was not necessarily the most practical idea for a child. Although I still live with my parents, I am at the age where I am buying my own presents for my family and friends [instead of my mom purchasing them for me], so why not place them under my own tree? Right? I am all about decorations and being festive! Now, since my room has a very strict color scheme, consisting of turquoise walls and E V E R Y T H I N G else black&&white, I had to apply the same rules to my tree...

I am pretty much in love with the way it turned out. It is a rather short one [only 4 feet], but SO cute! I purchased the white tree with white lights for $25. That was the easy part. I guess I didn't realize how hard it would be to find BLACK Christmas tree decor... However, I did the best that I could. I found the black beaded garland in the wedding section at my local craft store. And let me tell you, it was pricey. But it was literally my only option, unless I wanted to spray paint regular silver beaded garland black [which I was not about to do]! I think my favorite part about it are the black glittery snowflakes (: GET THIS; they were 4 for $1!! INsane. I know. Perfection. I also added a boxed set of glittery silver ornaments of varying shapes and sizes. I think the big round glittery black ornaments just balance everything out perfectly!

And finally to top it all off.. I added this gorgeous masquerade mask! I don't think anything else would have topped this! [No punn intended] It cost about $25 [yikes!], but any other kind of topper would have just looked silly with this style of tree, you know? It is handmade with a super glittery mask, diamond rhinestones around the eye holes and beautiful black and white feathers in a flower design on the side!

I hope everyone is having fun with their Christmas trees like I am! And no I did not buy black and white wrapping paper for the presents underneath. Do you really think I would do something like that?
... Yeah me too. Guilty /:

Gooodnight my little snowflakes!

Warm Hellos && Cozy Thoughts..

Ello ello (:
Welcome to my blog! Wow, that was a little cliché… Anyway, I’ve had this little bloggy baby since October and I have yet to make my first post; simply because I had NO clue what I should start with. I had a lot of ideas in mind, but after all, I thought to myself, “Stop trying so hard! Why try to come up with something impressive and unique? This is your blog. Just be your everyday self, with your everyday thoughts, and your everyday ideas, especially for the first post! I mean who am I kidding? Let’s be real.” Soooooo, without further a due, ladies and gentlemen, here it is!

I am currently sitting on the back patio enjoying this chilly weather [for once!] with my favorite sweatshirt, my boyfriend’s cozy flannels, my fuzzy ladybug socks, and of course sipping my hot chocolate/coffee concoction. It’s super delish! It is like pitch black out here too [just the way I like it]! My parents are out of town, so I am definitely enjoying my night in tonight. I have all of my favorite candles burning inside and I turned on the Christmas lights outside, as well as the gorgeous tree in the house (: I just L O V E the holiday time.  Everything about it just makes me feel so warm and happy! However, my hands are becoming frozen as they scramble across the keyboard of my laptop as I type away! I guess that’s my cue to wrap up this very uninteresting post [and my little hands!].
Take care, ladybugz! <3
